That early experience shaped a lasting appreciation for value-driven retail and became the foundation for what this business stands for today: making everyday shopping straightforward, reliable, and affordable.
To a Business Idea
When the idea of creating a local one-stop shop first took shape, it felt natural to draw inspiration from a store that had left such a lasting impression. The principles behind that legendary name — simplicity, choice, and value — became the foundation for this business.
With the rising cost of living, the need to save has never been more important. While sourcing the best deals for myself, it became clear that the same opportunity could be offered to others. What began as a concept for a physical store soon evolved into something bigger.
Rather than limiting access to a single location, the vision expanded online — creating a platform where everyone could benefit from the same value, convenience, and opportunity to quickly save, wherever they are.

Following the success of our physical store, the focus naturally shifted online. What began locally soon evolved into a digital platform designed to make great value accessible not just across the UK, but worldwide.

Meet The Team
Thomas Magson
Founder & CEO
I’m one of the co-founders of Quicksave Retail, a small family-run business selling products on Amazon.
My journey didn’t start in business at all. I studied Sport Science at university and worked as a PE teacher in the UK, which taught me a lot about people, consistency, and doing things properly. Those lessons still guide how we run Quicksave Retail today.
After moving to China — first to Beijing and now Guangzhou — I got to see first-hand how products are made and just how much care and effort goes into good manufacturing. Being based here allows us to work closely with suppliers and make sure we’re offering products we’d happily use ourselves.
Outside of work, I’m into football, fitness, and staying active, and I love travelling whenever I get the chance. At the end of the day, Quicksave Retail is built like a family business — we care about what we sell, we care about our customers, and we genuinely appreciate every order and every bit of support.
My day to day is operational management of the company and business development within China. The UK team concentrates on operations there and reports back to me.
